Recovery Rosary for addiction

Mary’s Way of the Cross- a beautiful reflection of how Mary felt during her Son’s crucifixion. Also, look at other prayers on website.

Prayer for the Addicted
God of mercy,
we bless you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministered to all who came to him, Give your strength to (name of the person), one of your children, enfold him/her in your love and restore him/her in your love and restore him/her to the freedom of God’s children.

Lord,
look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and freedom. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, strengthen them in the work of recovery, and help them to resist all temptation.

To those who care for them, grant patience and understanding and a love that perseveres.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference.

St. Monica

Great St. Monica, patroness of fathers and mothers, please take our children, especially those who have turned from the ways of God and His Church, under your protection. Let them always remain faithful to their baptismal vows. Give them strength to walk always in the ways of the Lord, despite the temptations and false values they find in the world today. Grant that they may share with you in the joys of eternal life in God. Amen.

She prayed constantly for the conversion of her husband (who converted on his death bed), and of her son, St. Augustine of Hippo(who converted after a wild life).

Saint Augustine of Hippo

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest your weary ones.
Bless your dying ones.
Soothe your suffering ones.
Pity your afflicted ones.
Shield your joyous ones.
And for all your love's sake. Amen

St. Augustine of Hippo is the patron of brewers because of his conversion from a former life of loose living, which included parties, entertainment, and worldly ambitions. His complete turnaround and conversion has been an inspiration to many who struggle with a particular vice or habit they long to break.
