Helpful Websites:

DETOX- If a person is detoxing most likely they need medical help... the emergency room is always an option. When in doubt don’t wait. Detoxing from alcohol and some other drugs particularly narcotics or when mixing drugs may be fatal.

FACILITIES:.Remember recovery is a process not an instant fix. Families should be part of the recovery program.   The more you pay does not mean the better the treatment. See Recovery... Questions to ask before determining a facility.

Before choosing a program or facility try to determine the type of program best fits your family's demographics... inpatient or outpatient, family programs, after-care, follow-up, .....  .see recovery.

SUPPORT GROUPS: In addition to  Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous you may want to check out other support groups.
